Duluth recently experienced the first homicide of the year on May 22, 2021. Numerous lives have been forever altered as a result of this tragic incident.
I cannot possibly be the only person in the area asking myself “ WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE FROM THE BIPOC COMMUNITY”?
The victim was a 22 year old black male, the alleged shooter is a 17 year old Indigenous male.
There were also 2-3 additional black people involved in the shooting incident, some have been arrested others are still at large.
By all apperances every person involved in the May 22, 2021 shooting are members of the BIPOC Community.
The questions that beg an answer are:
- Where is the press conference on the steps of City Hall with the Head of the Duluth Human Rights Commission calling for unity and a stand against violence in the BIPOC Community?
- When will there be a BIPOC summit to formulate a plan to end the internal BIPOC violence?
- Is there no news conference because there is no white person involved or no police officer involved?
These questions need to be answered by the BIPOC Community.
Why isn’t the local media asking these questions and digging for answers? I firmly believe the only reason the local media will not ask these questions … it doesn’t fit their furtherance of a narrative that seeks to divide the commuity instead of unifying the community.
Conclusion: No outrage, no solution!
